Appalachian Roller Girls donate van to needy family

The Appalachian Roller Girls aren't just about hitting the rink. They're also about helping the community, as is evidenced by a Thursday gesture. The Girls donated a special-needs van to the family of Hazen Woodring, a 6-year-old Hardin Park student with cerebral palsy.
"This means everything because it means he'll be able to get to school more regularly and he'll be able to go out in the community," his mom, Jennifer Miller said.
Before, he had to ride in a car seat and be physically carried.
ARG was happy to help.
"We are strong women rolling for a strong community," Lisa "Poison Cupcake" Everhart said.
For more on ARG's good deed, check out next week's print edition of the Mountain Times.
