Maj. Ryan David funeral

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14, at the Holmes Convocation Center for Maj. Ryan Scott David of Boone.
The 30-year-old member of the N.C. National Guard's 145th Airlift Wing died July 1 when a C-130 plane crashed while fighting wildfires in South Dakota.
Three other men also died in the crash.
Uniformed officers and the N.C. Highway Patrol's Caisson Unit led a procession from Austin & Barnes Funeral Home along Rivers Street to the convocation center prior to the service.
