WNC Cross-Country Carnival

  • The Watauga girls cross-country team placed three runners in the top 10 of the Western North Carolina Cross-Country Carnival championship in Hendersonville Saturday while the boys saw two finish in the top 25. Overall, the Pioneer girls finished second (68 points), finishing just behind host school T.C. Roberson (44 points) with a total time of 1:43:09.78 against Roberson's 1:39:50.79. The boys team finished in seventh overall with 218 point and a time of 1:30:04.06.
