This was a cool competition and jam session held at Beech Mountain. The boarders, and skiers, were excellent and it was a great time.

WNC Cross-Country Carnival

The Watauga girls cross-country team placed three runners in the top 10 of the Western North Carolina Cross-Country Carnival championship in Hendersonville Saturday while the boys saw two finish in the top 25.
Overall, the Pioneer girls finished second (68 points), finishing just behind host school T.C. Roberson (44 points) with a total time of 1:43:09.78 against Roberson's 1:39:50.79. The boys team finished in seventh overall with 218 point and a time of 1:30:04.06.

This was a very cool event to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. All-star players from the ACC and WNC were represented. They put on a very nice show which highlighted their skills and had the crowd pumped.
